Wheatley Fly Boxes
Richard Wheatley Limited manufactures a vast range of Fly Boxes and Tackle Boxes. We are pleased to carry a selection of our favourites: Handcrafted Wooden Fly Boxes and Aluminum Dry Fly Compartment Boxes. All the interior fittings are assembled by hand - there there is no way to automate this level of precision. Wheatley has been making fly boxes for well over 100 years and the craftsmanship of yesterday is carried on today.
Deluxe Handcrafted Wooden Fly Boxes:
The selection of Wheatley's Deluxe Handcrafted Wooden Fly Boxes is manufactured from premium hardwood. Each box is individually machined from either solid Oak, Cherry or American Black Walnut. The boxes are finished with three coats of clear hand-applied varnish which both protects and enhances their appearance as well as showing the beautiful grain of the wood to its best effect.
Each box is fitted with quality stout hinges and clasp and a solid brass nameplate, ideal for engraving, which completes the overall traditional finish synonymous with Wheatley products.

Handcrafted Wooden Fly Boxes:
Wheatley sells a comprehensive selection of Handcrafted Wooden Fly Boxes, all manufactured from the finest hardwood. Each is individually made using tenon joints only; therefore there are no outside visual fixings. All are finished with three coats of hand-applied varnish and top-quality hinges and clasps. Each is completed with a solid brass nameplate which can be personally engraved.

Aluminum Compartment Fly Boxes:
Wheatley's most famous line of Aluminum Compartment Fly Boxes are available in either silver anodised or in a black powder-coated finish. This unique method of housing dry flies in individual compartments, each with its own spring-loaded window, gives a safe and reliable way of storage. The Wheatley "Rolls Royce" of dry fly boxes, the 1609, has compartments in both lid and base. The rest of the compartment range are combined dry/wet fly boxes and have compartments in the base and either clips or flat foam in the lid.
